12.03.19 • Smart, intelligent solutions for digitalizing production
Digitalization in industry is continuing apace, with the vision of a few years ago now turning into solutions. Smart and intelligent manufactur-ing that has been operating productively for three years already at SEW EURODRIVE is now finding its first customer applications – vi-sions become solutions! Using the example of a real automotive produc-tion line, SEW EURODRIVE is showing what this can look like at this year's HANNOVER MESSE in Hall 15, Stand F12. In addition to the smart production process itself, all the installed components and solutions generate data. DriveRadar® offers users the opportunity to analyze this data intelligently, use it, and thus increase overall system availability – a vision becomes reality and generates real solutions and added value.
The digital transformation and intelligent networking of production and logistics keep on moving forward. At Stand F12 in Hall 15 of this year's Hannover Messe, SEW EURODRIVE is demonstrating the huge effect this transfor-mation is having on production. The example of the assembly line for the e.GO electric vehicle clearly shows how flexible automotive manufacturing is becoming. Rigid processes are replaced by mobile ones when Industry 4.0 approaches are implemented systematically. The example on show at SEW EURODRIVE's trade fair stand is a section of the automobile factory of the future – e.GO manufacturing in Aachen – which the Bruchsal-based com-pany is helping shape into a smart production line with mobile, intelligent and networked assistants in addition to a conventional electrified monorail system. The load handling devices (driven rollers) of the mobile assistants use the new compact DCA.. extra-low voltage drives from SEW EURODRIVE. Other are-as of the sample production line use the new CM3C servomotors and the PxG precision planetary servo gear units.
The DriveRadar® concept from SEW EURODRIVE ensures the components, solutions and the entire system are also monitored during operation. The Bruchsal-based company's DriveRadar® system provides intelligent, scalable services for smart factories that significantly boost product, solution and over-all system availability as part of an OEE ( Overall Equipment Effectiveness) concept.
In the Smart Factory Office, interested parties can plan their production facili-ties and enter them in virtual reality, where they can continue to tweak their processes till they are perfectly optimized. Only then do they transfer their data from the virtual world to the real one, which reduces errors and speeds up commissioning.
However, things are also changing for high-torque solutions, too. SEW EURODRIVE is showcasing the latest evolution of the X-series gear units at its main stand at this year's Hannover Messe. The experience gained from a wide range of applications has flowed into the construction of gearings, surfaces, temperature management, etc., meaning the new X.e-series sets new standards. The company's exhibits in the outdoor area include solutions for rotary kilns and agitators. Visitors are also invited to spend some time ex-ploring the large gear unit solutions from SEW EURODRIVE while strolling through the crossover area between Halls 11 and 14.
SEW EURODRIVE's trade fair stand offers visitors the chance to experience the full potential of cutting-edge drive and automation technology and how intelligent interactions simplify processes and boost efficiency while also en-suring transparency. They will also discover how easy and straightforward it is to integrate both the company's standard components and, of course, new solutions into state-of-the-art, intelligent smart factory concepts.
